What do you find appealing about your character? Do you have anything in common with them?
His deep and abiding love and care for young Master Tomu. He looks intimidating, but he’s kinder than anyone—and he doesn’t just spoil Master Tomu either. He can be stern for his sake too. I think that his love for Tomu is the most appealing thing about him. Despite his looks, Hachi is very kind-hearted, and he loves animals—an unexpected side of him. I’m about the same height as he is, and people have told me I’m a little unapproachable, but I really love animals too! I want to pet Prickles and have him snuggle up to me…
The SA Cronos transform when their adrenaline levels are high. If you were an SA Cronos, what would cause you to transform?
I think I probably produce a lot of adrenaline before work. When I’m standing in front of the mic, my head naturally clears and I can focus on my performance, which I think is a kind of transformation in itself.
What were your thoughts when you heard the theme of the game?
The themes include “ghouls,” “dual nature,” and “romance,” so it sounded like something that had never really been done before. I got carried away imagining what kind of story a setting like that would produce. When I read through the materials, I was instantly dragged into the world of Tokyo Debunker. It felt so real I wondered if there really were ghouls called Cronos out there.
Please say a few words to our fans who are eagerly awaiting the release of Tokyo Debunker.
The setting is dark, but the characters are all memorable, and there will be plenty of both laughter and tears from their interactions. My character, Eigo Hachiyama, is on the comedic side of things, so I hope he makes you laugh a lot while you enjoy the realistic, but extraordinary world of Tokyo Debunker!
